Finished NPDA
Well this hell race of a project has finally passed after a year and some change! (2 tries at it for our class)
I will say I'm pretty pleased with how this try turned out. I would like to change and work on a few more things about it though.
The front and back!

NPDA Progress
Our group got a little fractured when it came to developing the comp/concept we all would do.
As it stands this is how the one I'm working on is looking.
Things that would need to be fixed.
- More defined buildings
- More little tiny details like crazy pipes, steam, little corners with clothing out or evidence of people.
- Define the planes (durr)
- Type is basically all WIP
- Where the NPDA is I think will be a hot air balloon. A better center focal point.

[Reference] Crazy Great Machines
Armstead Snow Motors from Seeking Michigan on Vimeo.
Lot's of great articles and links to 1800s obsolete technology from early electric engines to treatises on early bicycle designs and just... really fantastic stuff.
Also found some LIFE magazine photos of early aircraft inventions. Some are just neat and you wonder how the hell they believed it would fly.

Visual Essay studies
My visual essay is going to be on the topic of skateboarding (an activity very personal to me as it was how I spent all free time from 6th to 11th grade). More specifically capturing movement of them.
Here are some studies from a recent trip to Houston High skatepark (the only skate park left in memphis after SPOM and Darkside being shut down?)
